Over half of UK employees feel disability inclusion is the most important aspect of diversity that should be tackled in their workplace. Increasingly, recruiting disabled talent isn’t seen as an act of charity – it’s what smart employers are doing to get ahead of their competition.
This event is aimed at anyone who wants to be certain that their organisation is disability confident and Board level HR leaders. In this webinar we will be joined by the Minister of State (Minister for Disabled People, Health and Work), Justin Tomlinson to discuss how the switch to remote working and the government’s flagship policy of Disability Confident can support businesses.
There are 7.6 million working age people in the UK who have a disability, and many of them are more than able and determined to work. The latest research shows that Disability Confident is having a significant impact, with half of all employers recruiting someone with a disability or long–term health condition as a direct result of joining the scheme, rising to two thirds for larger employers.
Justin Tomlinson is the Minister of State at the Department for Work and Pensions. He was previously Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Work and Pensions. Prior to entering Parliament, he had a successful business career.
